A handmade baby blanket with an autumnal woodland scene of a little squirrel gathering acorns.

This unique and enchanting crochet baby blanket has been crocheted using merino wool and cotton. As well as the squirrel in the woodland scene there is a caterpillar, delicate flowers and hovering dragonfly design.

The merino wool has lots of great benefits. Firstly it adapts acording to the temperature keeping the little one comfortable at all times. The yarn is soft next to the little ones delicate skin. In addition it is machine washable so easy to care for too! Ideal for busy parents and grandparents alike.

The making of the blanket .
This woodland scene has a squirrel, dragonfly, caterpillar and an array of delicate flowers. For each of the appliques I have used different mediums of knit, crochet and embroidery. Handmade in a clean, smoke free environment. It has been created using exquisite colour’s of cream merino wool intertwined with cotton.

Also in pretty tones of mauve, purple, pink, grey, lemon and soft green. Due to the premium threads of yarn I have used, this blanket super soft to the touch. The appliques are made up of a lot of individual components before being pieced together to complete the woodland scene. In addition it has taken over one week to complete.

As well as being finished to a very high standard its such a high quality handmade heirloom baby blanket. Sure to be cherished thoughout the years.

Made with super wash cream merino wool and various colour cotton’s for the appliqued picture and to edge the border.
Care instructions – Machine washable on a 30 – 40 degree wash cycle and for best results air dry.                                   Your woodland squirrel blanket will be beautifully packaged in tissue paper and boxed.
